Dim Sum at Peach Garden

My baby sista treated the family for some dim sum
during the weekend when I returned to Singapore.
Peach Garden doesn't have the best dim sum
but it's nearby home and we don't feel like venturing too far
during a lazy weekend afternoon.

during my flight from Brussels to Singapore.

Argh... I kept forgetting to take photos of flight food!
I'm glad I remembered this time. Finally....

Christmas Beef Wellington

After seeing some beautiful Beef Wellington at Harrods in May,
I've been dreaming, thinking and googling it.
Gordon Ramsey has a great video demonstrating the making of a Beef Wellington
so this Christmas, we followed the recipe.

Papa bought some expensive fillet boeuf from the local butcher.
I was kind of nervous while making the Beef Wellington,
lest we messed up this piece of good meat.
But we did a good job and made our own beautiful Beef Wellington.

Christmas Tea or Gouter de Noel

It's Xmas again.
Mon mari made a kugelhopf.
We have homemade Alsacienne cookies,
some glazed gingerbread fingers & cinnamon stars from Forwenger,
stollen, clementines & hot chocolate for gouter de noel.

Seafood Waterzooi

It's a easy and delicious meal.
I adapted from this recipe and made a seafood one.
The broth is made from cooking shrimp shells in salted water.

La Remanence

Yay! We are back at La Remanence in Lyon.
This time, we opt for the Plaisir de Jour, which is the basic menu du jour.
But it's not so basic because it's super tasty for a regular weekday lunch :)
