Whenever someone visits me in New York, I'll suggest a fancy lunch at Bouley's.

It's very good and the most affordable fancy french lunch tasting menu around town.

The other good and more affordable fancy lunch place is Eleven Madison Park near Madison Square Park. 

It's a very lovely meal and I enjoy the starchy service 

with cutlery changing at each course.

Comté

A short field trip to visit a fruitière (cheese producer) in Plan d'hotonnes that makes Comté, one of my favorite cheese (actually, there aren't many cheeses that I don't like)


Papa got 2 slabs of Comté (fruité & doux), I think a slice of Tomme too as well as 8 cups of Faisselle.

CHERRY BOMB

The cherry tree in the countryhouse (Papa de mon ami's countryhouse in Bugey) 

was full of cherries when we visited.

More than we can eat.

We stuffed ourselves with cherries while picking them to bring with us.

Mon ami made an alsacienne rhubarb pie with the rhubarb from the garden.

With the extra pate brisee, we made 2 small cherry tarts.

(The adrenaline of eating/food overcomes me)

before i start to eat, which explains the half eaten rhubarb pie.

The smiley pie composition wasn't intentional.
