Wedding Dinner in Singapore

The bride and groom on stage cutting the wedding cake.
Five Happiness Combination
(Cold dish platter)

Braised Shark's Fin with Crabmeat
(Whoa! I'm not into eating endangered species, so I passed.)

Sauteed Shrimps with Cashew Nuts & Honey Peas

Deep-fried Garoupa (or Grouper) in Supreme Soya Sauce

Deep-fried Crispy Chicken

Braised Sliced Abalone with Bailing Mushrooms & Spinach

Stewed Double Happiness Ee-fu Noodles

Chilled Mango Puree with Sago & Pomelo
(A sweet soup dessert
)

Have I mentioned I enjoy going to wedding dinners
of my parents' friends' children?
It's interesting (to me) to watch people getting hitched
AND EAT without having to socialize too much
since it's my parents' social arena and not mine.
Eh..! What's not to like in this deal?!!

The menu is very typical of a hotel wedding dinner.
It's usually an 8 course dinner because 8 is a lucky number for Chinese.
Phew... That's quite a food marathon!
Luckily I am a trained professional.
